Marta Brunet was born in Chile on August 9, 1897. This is a time when the world is about to jump into the twentieth century and start developing its vast largely led by the powerful United States. However for Marta this great development was not of great impact since she was born and raised in an isolated city of Chile. I can say is that she is a woman of the people and therefore did not have much access to the world in general. Although Chile is a developing country, largely because many believe is the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, isolated towns such as Victoria Pailahueque not have great access to urban development in different cities and were much less late nineteenth century. Marta grows in this city and is raised as a caI'm sure is the cause of their ignorance. Many of these people grow up under conditions very different from us and how they act is the way they think is appropriate. They do not hit women or children are treated badly by trying to abuse them, they do it because they believe that's what I get to do as men. They certainly were treated equally by their parents and that is why they are true. The lack of opportunities makes them unfold in a manner very different from us.
Finally let me say that Marta Brunet by this novel manages to express their ideas using different characters and environments that although she has formed very close to reality. She gives identity to country life and shows the many
